Park Homes.?
Looking for any info on the Park Home estate near Riverside gardens at Burton on Trent. Is it a nice place to live ??
Sorry but I don't know where Riverside Gardens is in Burton but if you also want lots of info on Burton on Trent in general then take a look at http://www.inburton.co.uk which has absolutely loads of info relating to Burton including a 'What's On' guide, a restaurant guide, petrol prices, a business and services directory and much more.what are the rules/laws regarding planning permission for mobile home and park homes in the uk?
if i were to buy (or rent) a piece of land, probably in a rural area in the uk, would i be allowed to put a static caravan/mobile home/park home on there or would i need planning permission? also if i were to build my own basic structure from timber resembling a park home, what would the situation be with that one? i wouldn't be thinking of selling it so that is not a factor. many thanks
you will need planning permission (even if you are a gypsy)
you need to talk your local planning office.they normally have a duty officer who will advise you if you call in.
development in the country is very constrained outside a settlement boundary. the Local Development Framework or Core Strategy will specify what they normally allow +where.
one exception is if you are making charcoal and need to be on site 24-7.
it depends on previous use of the site; number of visitors you expect; local services; road access ...
There are also strict rules on materials and placement of park homes due to fire risks, gas canisters, and health issues of condence/damp and formaldahyde off-gassingDoes anyone know what estate agents deal with selling park homes in the Surrey area?
I am looking to purchase a park home in the Surrey country side. Max £70,000
that type of property is actually sold like a car. you turn up with thew cash and pay for it.
The sale is usually "brokered" by the site manager, who takes a cut of the deal. So the best thing to do is get a lit of the sites, go round and visit them and then start negotiating.owner of a park homes caravan site in Bournmouth based in the isle of man called Kimberely properties?

None appear to show links to IOM companiesDoes everyone that pays road tax have the right to park outside other people’s homes?
I work evenings and when I come home most days I don’t find any parking space outside my house. Today I came home and found a car that I don’t recognise as of my neighbours and a taxi parked outside my house. This taxi seems to be parked nearly every night outside my house. I couldn’t find parking space outside my house and had to park my new car somewhere else. I was so piss#d off I was going to slash the tires of the taxi. Can I report the taxi or does he have a right if he pays road tax, I live in the UK.
Simple answer is yes they do. It's public road not private.appealling to the older people- park homes and buying of them?

i put a cone outside my home so i could park up later because of rail users parking outside my home, the police said if i do it again i will get a fixed penalty, their are car parks available, these people park on the kerbs on bends at junctions but nothing is done, the council wont act.
Somebody call the Whambulance because you're being a big baby. You don't own the C-u-r-b.What are the benifits of living in a park home?
I and my girlfriend are looking to retire together in the near future. We both have properties which could be sold. We have been reading up about park homes. The only benefit we can see is band A council tax. The biggest thing we cannot get our heads round is the fact of having to pay between £100 to £200 ground rent per month. So for this extra outlay what are the benefits of park home living?
Beverley is spot on. The main problem with them is lack of privacy, the walls are very thin. If you have a deaf neighbour you will hear every word of your TV. Also in really bad weather they can shake a bit in high winds. Main problem is you have to go by the rules of the site. This can mean paying highter maintenance charges on a regular basis. There have been a few cases in the UK where these parks have changed hands and the owners have had a lot of problems. You need to really research the legalities of this before you do anything.Park Homes and Leisure Lodge owners please advise me?
