Running costs?
I am maybe going to move into a rented 4 bedroom detached house in Nottingham, England.
It has gas & electricity, an ensuite master bedroom, gardens & a very nice conservatory.
What will the costs be after rent, which is £700pcm.
All I can think of is Council Tax, power, water, contents insurance, phone line & TV license, but I don't know what these may come to.
Any ideas? and have I missed anything?
Sounds good, but you'll have to suffer the pain of watching Nottingham Forest languish in the third Division for another season.
Someone reincarnate Brian Clough quick!
(As to your other costs, depends on how much you run your phone bill, water, power, etc. Just budget another £250 and save what you don't spend.)Donating money to the running costs of a forum?
If you donate to the running costs of a forum do you then have any rights/say as to how it is run? Should you be able to ask where and how the money is spent?
Thanks for your answers so far - all seems clear cut and simple.
Can I also ask, do you have to declare to the taxman monies received via donations/paid subscriptions to a forum?
That would depend on whether it is a forum that you use as a service, example get advice for pc problems, download free programs etc, you don't know the forum owners and they have a "if you can please donate to help keep this site going" type of ad and you choose to donate........
In those circumstances you wouldn't expect to be able to tell them what to do or how to spend the money and you certainly wouldn't have any "rights" so to speak.
If it is a website between friends then you should compromise and discuss what is to be spent on what, and there should be no harm in wanting to ask what the money is going on.
Having "legal rights" would not come into it unless stated in some sort of agreement.whats the best fuel/overall running/costs motor to buy, to resume private hire taxi work after my redundancy?

Go down to a few taxi ranks and chat the the guysWhat are the average running costs of a driving instructor?
I am thinking about starting training and i was wondering if it is worth it, as I will only be teaching part time?
My other job is a kickboxing instructor!
It will cost you about £3000 to become qualified and the car will cost about 70p per mile to run and this will increase if you are only part time as the insurance etc would not be cheaper. What are the annual running costs of a holiday house in the Canary Islands ?
Is mains supply water expensive, is mains supply electric expensive, is there a annual local council or government tax, is rubbish expensive, ect.
Check Flaneo website http://www.flaneo.comIf you add up manufacture, running costs and disposal which is more expensive a pony or a car?
Including carbon capture costs.
Ponies are smaller than horses, but they still eat a lot. You'll also get steep fines if you don't take them to the vet like several times a year & they need to get hoof pedicures every 2 months for health reasons. You can finish paying off a car, but you have to pay for the pony's needs as long as it lives. What are the true running costs of a geothermal heating system?
Do it really work out cheaper than conventional heating sytems i.e oil, gas etc etc.
Geothermal heating is crap, efficient but crap. You would be better off using a dual fuel set-up or traditional electric heat back-up with heat pump. Depends on your geographical location.
With the cost of geothermal you would be better off using a high efficiency 2-stage heat pump, 16-20 SEER range. Parts are usually readily available and there arent any hydronics to worry about. What are the running costs of an electric de-humidifier?

For my homework, I need to find out how much it would cost to run a pantomime. Can anybody give me a rough idea about the cost of:
-costumes
-props
-lighting
-sets/ backdrops
-running heating
-buying the rights to a script.
-anything else you might need!
THanks for anything you can give me!
Fine then, PUTTING ON a pantomime.
Thanks for your answer second answerer (sorry forgotten your name), thats really helpfull. Sorry I can't be much more specific because we are not really running this. It is purely hypothetical for the sake of an ICT project thing.
based on mother goose or cinderella for a one off performance using hired equipment, costs are as follows:
costumes hire costs £2600
props should be availble for borrowing £0
lighting £400
Sets: again hire costs or manufacture say £1000
heating: £100
script: free off internet
anything else you might need - you need to be more specificWhat type of heating is the most efficient and which has the lowest running costs ?
Gas boiler , electric boiler , white meter storage heaters , or any others?
Air/ground source heat pumps are the most efficient heating system, but are pretty expensive to install.
