Ta
Thanks we are in UK and we have someone interested in buying our house which we haven't put on the market yet.
The benefits are the savings you achieve and the less confusion in communicating direct to the buyer than through an estate agent.
I sold my place in the UK the seller had been gazumped 3 times and was £1300 down in survey fees! She could not believe how easy the process was - we agreed and then she got a conveyancing solicitor and we did the same. Any slow down in the process we called the solicitors up ourselves.
Win win situation good luck - its really not hard ££££ for you - you will need to get a Home Information Pack (Hips) £258.75 cheapest you will find online & fast too! What are the fee's for letting and buying & selling houses?

Depends where you live, and as you have not said, sorryHow do I reduce my tax liability, on buying/selling shares?
Could I create a limited company based here in the UK, which buys and sells shares only, thereby changing and reducing my tax liability from 50% to 18% rate on profits earnt (following UK tax laws)?
No. Your company would be classified as an investment company and there is no advantage and a lot of disadvantages in that.
If you interested in reducing your tax bill, you should invest some effort in getting familiar with Capital Gains Tax and make sure that you use all of the allowances that it gives. How did people make lots of money off of buying & selling mortgages during early 2000's & why thought immoral?
WHY PEOPLE BOUGHT MORTGAGES AND HOW THEY LOST THEM AFTER?
Who is/was Pat Buchanan too? why he said what these investors did was a crime and that what they did was worse than murder? how true? and why?
Mortgage brokers make money by originating the mortgage. They get a % of the loan, so the bigger the mortgage the more money they get. The more mortgages they originate the more money they get.
In the USA in that time period the mortgage brokers/ companies did the following bad things....
They gave mortgages to lots of people who they knew wouldn't be able to pay the loan back in a little while.
They over valued mortgages (since the bigger the loan the bigger their %), so a home really worth $100,000 might have a mortgage on it of $200,000.
They sold a lot of mortgages to people who already had mortgages. This they called 'refinancing'. A house worth $100,000 that had a old $50,000 mortgage owed on it would get a new mortgage for $100,000, and the home owner (and mortgage broker) would get the other $50,000. Because American incomes were mostly flat during the period a lot of Americans lived on the money from these 're-fi's', but each time they did it they owed more on a ever bigger mortgage they wouldn't be able to pay back in the future.
They got people 'in' to mortgages who couldn't afford them by making the first 2 years of payments really low, but then the payments went up 1000% in the 3rd year, or the entire loan plus interest would be due in a lump sum in the 5th year etc.
The mortgage brokers/ companies did all these things to keep churning out more mortgages getting their hefty fee/ % on every one they created to make themselves rich.
They got away with this because the US economy was (is) 'unregulated' allowing business people/ wealthy the widest possible latitude. The banks/ credit companies/ lenders knew what the brokers were doing too but didn't care because they were getting a percentage/ fees from the brokers.
Of course it couldn't go on forever, what's driven up must come down. There would come a time (and did) when a lot of people wouldn't be able to pay their inflated mortgage payments, and lump sums/ and loan amounts, and the value of property couldn't be inflated any more and real estate would fall to it's real value. When these things happened 2008 everything collapsed.

i want to venture into starting a buisness buying selling fixing computer consoles from my house.
i would be hopefully be letting a small premises or even a shop in the future.
how would i and what would be the best way to go about this?
i have a cscs card for construction but have been diagnosed with raynauds disease which if i get cold or even air conditioning can set this off (white finger syndrome)
i am 36 years old this year.
any suggestions would be of great help
thanks stuart
I tend to agree with the first answer. With computers and consoles at such relatively low priced, it will be hard to make money.
You don't need anything to start though, except advertising, so why not just give it a go anyway! Advertise locally in the supermarkets or newsagents windows, etc, and see what happens. Stay working from home for as long as possible; you don't want the overheads a shop will bring.
Good luckHELP - house buying / selling - problem with planning on old conversion?
We're just selling our house and have just found out the loft conversion was done without any planning or building regulations! This didn't show up on any search when we bought the place 7 1/2 years ago - if it had we would have walked away.
What come-back do we have on the original solicitors and how can I get this conversion 'Legal' so I can sell it?
To make matters worse, we have to move by early March or the new job will fall through!
HELP!!!
O.K. - I'm in the UK by the way.
File a complaint for actual damages against the seller of the property for duping you into buying it without telling you of the irregularities. Can my sister use my debit card while buying/selling on ebay?
I'm 14 so i cannot legally use ebay but can my sister, who is 22 years old, buy and sell stuff on ebay while using my debit card? She will have my permission to do so.
And if you haven't guessed by now, ill just be doing it under her name (: But she allows me to do so :D
Anyways please answer the above question and thanks in advance.
@Calvin,
You again? You can have a debit card once you're 11, gtfo
@Calvin darling, you are incorrect as usual. In the UK you can have a debit card from age 11!
Why don't you take 5 seconds to look on the Natwest website!
To the asker:
No, because your sister's paypal cannot add an under-age debit card or a debit card in someone else's name. It would be best for your sister to pay and then you just give her the money back. OR you can put the cash in her bank for her by going into her bank branch.Buying selling cars for profit HELP?
I just moved to the UK after living in america all my life. In america I would constantly car flip (buying and selling cars for profit) and I'd make quite a bit of money. Now that I'm in the UK, I'm wondering if buying and selling cars is possible/easier (i kno its illegal) and what are the consequences if u get caught. Is it also ok if you can give me a website or something that would give me more info about this. Thanks.
It's possible to turn a profit as long as you know your stuff - and it's certainly not illegal to do so, unless you are referring to the tax implications of any profit you make. How long does a search take when selling/buying a house. and what is a search?
We are selling our house and this is the first time we are going through the process and everybody tells a different story. so what is a search?
It is something the BUYER has their Solicitor do.
It's a check, with the Local Authorities to ensure no adverse developments are about to take place - for example, Council plans to turn your garden into a kids play area, car park, shopping centre ...
The search extends to checking for Planning applications by the neighbours etc. since this might effect the value of the property (for example, if they have permission to add an extra floor blocking out your light).
These days I expect it extends to checking that any required planning permissions for extensions made to your property have been properly granted.
